Welcome to Port Neches Middle School.  We at PNMS are dedicated to providing the best middle school education for your child. We are strongly committed to the core values of our country, our state and district. We believe and stress Honor, Pride and Tradition to our students. The students at PNMS daily strive for excellence. We are committed as a staff to building champions. The very signs in our hallways read:   Work like a champion, Study like a champion, Perform like a champion. It is my core belief as principal we must build students in three ways. We must build mind, body, and spirit. Upon this belief we offer our students a great curriculum with electives in fine arts and athletics along with our commitment to teach the TEKS as provided by the state. We offer a strong U.I.L. academic team to students combined with a great band, choir and athletic program. Students can participate in a great CATE program for vocational arts. We are very excited about our new school. The new school provides students with a computer at every desk in core classrooms. We have a four speaker surround sound system with projectors and LCD TVs in our core area classes. Science labs have portable computers and an outside courtyard for science projects. Our new school is a safe, comfortable environment for learning. Please feel free to browse our site. We appreciate you taking the time to visit us here at PNMS.

Educational Background

Mr. Hooper is enjoying his 17th year at PNMS as the campus leader for the Warriors. A PN-G graduate, Mr. Hooper is entering his 33rd year in education. Before this term, he served 3 years at Orangefield ISD and 10 years with Nederland ISD as a teacher/coach. Six years with Nederland were as an assistant principal. Prior to entering education, he served as a custodial worker at PN-G High School. He holds a B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science from Lamar University and a MEd. in Administration from Lamar as well.
